More Thoughts At 6 Months.

An anonymous comment to the previous post got me thinking a little bit. We, especially Americans, are constantly hearing about young people being abused and families being broken and all manner of atrocities committed by parents and family members in papers and on tv. From deadbeat Dads to crack addicted Mothers, I guess that, in addition to all the other crap they print (but that's for a different kind of blog), is what sells papers in this country. Very rarely, if ever, do we hear about happy well adjusted families that treat their children with love and respect. On the flip side of that coin there are the so called "family friendly" news sources, which go on and on about "family values" and what not, that have absolutely no idea what these so-called "family values/morals" really are. It's more about being a political tool (thinly veiled at that), than actually talking about happy families and why they are happy, for them I beleive. One of the reasons I am (with other members of my family) involved in writing this blog is to show, without any alterior motives, what a happy family is and the reasons why we are happy. I want everyone that happens to read this blog to know that my little girl is loved and respected, and that I am a better person for knowing her. You may think that makes her a lucky girl, and why wouldn't you after hearing about all the children that aren't, but I tell you that I am the lucky one. I am lucky that I have such a wonderfull little girl to hang out with, talk to, and most importantly love with all my heart. So to the person that wrote that comment, thank you, you made a happy daddy just a little bit happier (and a little misty too)...

6 Months Old!

Here we are at March 18th, so many new and amazing things have happened for me my wife and most importantly for our amazing little girl in the last half a year. Wow, just thinking about how happy this wonderful little life has made me in such a short time makes me wonder how it could get better in the next 6 months and beyond. Every day I find myself even more in love with my amazing little family and quite simply feel like a better person than the day before. With no more guilding the lily, here are the 6 month pictures as promised...

As of today our lovely Miss Pearl has been with us for six months. She is a beautiful, wise, and loving soul. Our entire family is blessed by her presence. As Nanas often do, I've been remembering the day she arrived. So to help jog your memory,too, I am posting these oldies, but goodies.
