Happy Nine Months Monkey!

Oh my little monkey, I can't believe it's been nine months since you emerged from my body. You were the most amazing little thing I've ever seen, and you continue to amaze me every day. Snuggling with you is heaven, playing with you makes me feel like a kid again, feeding you is always an adventure, loving you makes me the happiest Mommy in the world. I even love it when you bite my toes with your one tiny tooth! I never thought I would be this happy, you and your Daddy made all my dreams come true.

Nine Months!?!?

My dear Miss Pearl,

The older I get, the faster time goes. That is something you will discover in probably another 30 years or so. Only a short nine months ago, you came into our lives and have made this world a place of joy. True, my life was fun and exciting, but now it is full of discovery and hope and joy and expectation; all thanks to you. I am so grateful you choose this family to join. Congratulations to all of us and thanks to you, Miss Pearl, for bringing such happiness to us all.

Day Before 9 Months

I just have so much new stuff to share I decided to do the 9 month post a day early. I still might say a few words and share a couple more pictures tomorrow.

Well, my first Father's day was great, we went swimming (our new Sunday thing), and watched movies. Pearl rode in her new car seat for the first time, her Nana and Bumpa bought her a wonderful new seat that can be used foreward and backward facing. Pearl seemed to enjoy her first ride in it. Pearl has been trying all sorts of new foods: Chocolate, Tuna, Gravy, Mashetopatoes, and the list goes on, it seems that there is nothing she does not like. She continues to work on her standing and walking skills, she should be running accross the room in no time. When Mommy is in sight Pearl says "Mamamamama" and when I am she says "Dadadada" so we know she knows who is who, just like she is supposed to do.

Last night Pearl was up a little past her bed time so I broke out the video camera. This little movie is the result of the late night footage. I got her doing the "Dadadada" and some smiling and laughing, enjoy.

Pearl In The Pool

On Sunday we all went to the pool over in Casselberry that Kim found the other day when looking on line for a place to swim. It's only $2 to swim all day, and not very crowded at all. Pearl's first time swimming went better than expected, she only cried a little, but whined a lot. I figure if we start going every Sunday she'll get used to it eventually. Of course I have a video of the event that I share with you now...
