It's time for an update on our favorite "little poop", Miss Pearl! As you can see, Pearl is wearing a bib most of the day, that is due to her constant drooling. Mommy didn't want her outfits to be drenched anymore, so a bib helps solve that dilemma. Some days she can go through three bibs, it's amazing. She has taken to spinning the bib around, it flows from behind like a little cape on Super Baby.
Rolling from her stomach to her back is a new found treat, as is removing her own socks. Pearl gets a look of great satisfaction when those socks come off. Throwing her plastic letters on the floor when she is in her walker is also a fun pasttime. Watching Mommy or Mimsy pick them up and return them is enough to make her do it all over again.
Poor Daddy got his first real taste of Pearl crying when he leaves today. I was nursing Pearl in the bedroom when it was time for Clay to leave for work. He said goodbye to his girls, walked down the hall, and Pearl started to bawl. He came back in the room, said hi to her, she smiled, he left again, she started to cry. It was heartbreaking.
Enjoy these photos!

Ohhhhhh! She is so precious even with the drool...sounds like she is doing all the things she should be,if maybe a little earlier than some. Poor Daddy, it must have been hard for him to leave, but she'll learn soon that he comes back. When do I get a video of her in her walker?? Please...
only 7 weeks!!!!
Yeah, and daddy cried half way to work!
Dear Pearl, Your Mommy is just the BEST...taking all these wonderfully diverse photos of the most beautiful girlfriend in the world! Mommy gets many gold stars plastered on her forehead for taking the time and effort to satisfy all Pearl's fans....new mommies don't have "free time" as they once knew it....SIGH! I'm very proud of you Kimmie.
I remember the first time that Clay cried when I left for work. It tore my heart out; I emphathize with Daddy!! But then I realized that it meant that he knew what good bye meant and was aware of changes in his environment! What a step in the learning curve!! Of course, it doesn't make it any easier to leave, but it should make us all proud that she is so advanced!!! Thanks again for the wonderful photos!
